Director of Delivery Operations for the Engineering Delivery Group. Lead technology transformation within a collaborative and inclusive team. Standardize delivery processes across multiple platforms, leveraging agile methodologies and modern delivery tools to ensure efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement. Set and track performance metrics to measure delivery success, quality, and team productivity. Manage diverse talent, including in-house technical teams, contract workers, and partnerships with software development companies to deliver solutions supporting Abb Vie’s R&D and discovery of therapeutics.

Foster open communication and accountability to create and implement a unified vision for technology delivery at Abb Vie, ensuring best practices in project management, resource allocation, and agile execution. Provide vision and direction for software delivery that supports discovering and developing new therapeutics and administers main application development capability and managed application support for these technologies. Manage development methodologies used for application development and management.

• People Management:
  Recruits, coaches, and develops managers and senior managers with significant latitude; develops organizational talent.
• Financial Management:
  Directs and controls activities and budgets of functional areas, divisions, product groups, or operations.
• Process Management:
  Leads usage optimization and process framework for methodologies in application creation and development, including UI frameworks, cloud usage, and Agile/Dev Ops/CI-CD.
• Impact:
  Makes quick, flexible decisions influencing the future course of business and technology domain.
• Resource Management:
  Determines delivery resource management strategy and organizational structure.
• Liaison & Relationship Building:
  Builds collaborative relationships with business and technology senior leaders; maintains relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Culture:
  Demonstrates Abb Vie’s Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes, manages performance, provides feedback, rewards achievement, develops talent, and creates a succession pipeline.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years experience OR Master’s Degree and 9 years experience OR PhD and 5 years experience
• Effective alignment of employee and functional goals to business and Abb Vie objectives; excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to drive performance and engagement through coaching, motivating, energizing, and inspiring team members.
• Experience managing teams of at least 10 people with a mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams, contractors, and managed service providers.
• Ability to communicate problems in terms understandable to BTS Leadership and end users at all levels.
• Subject matter expert in technology and/or business domain.
• Experience managing a budget of at least $10 million.
• Experience in technology operation, strategy, planning and implementation and/or relevant business domain preferred.
