Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, Campus Life, the Director of Student Housing provides leadership and operational oversight for the campus residential experience. This role directs all housing and residence life functions for the 240-bed North campus student housing apartments and the South Campus Woodlands on Green Bay apartment complex for 360. The Director balances student development and crisis intervention with rigorous business administration and inter-departmental collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Administration and Housing Operations
* Direct all aspects of housing occupancy management, including marketing, recruitment support, housing applications, contract administration, room assignments, waitlist management, and occupancy forecasting.
* Coordinate housing billing, charges, refunds, collections, and account reconciliation in partnership with the University's Business Office.
* Develop, manage, and monitor annual housing operating budgets, including revenue projections, expenditure oversight, capital improvement planning, and financial reporting.
* Serve as the primary liaison with Facilities, , Campus Safety, Student Financial Services, Information Technology, Admissions, to ensure effective housing operations and student support.
* Oversee housing policies, procedures, contracts, and resident communications to ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable regulations.
* Manage housing database systems, occupancy records, reporting functions, and administrative processes to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity.
* Coordinate housing move-in, move-out, re-contracting, and room transfers.
* Monitor housing facilities and furnishings, identify maintenance and capital improvement needs, and collaborate with Facilities staff to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming residential environments.
* Develop and implement emergency preparedness, risk management, and business continuity procedures for residential facilities.
* Assess resident satisfaction, community needs, occupancy trends, and program effectiveness through surveys, focus groups, benchmarking, and data analysis, using findings to improve services and operations.
* Prepare annual reports and strategic recommendations related to housing occupancy, finances, student satisfaction, facility needs, and program outcomes.
Resident Life and Student Support
* Recruit, select, train, supervise, and Coordinator of Student Life and Community Managers as well as other student positions.
* Develop, implement, and assess a residential curriculum and community-building initiatives designed to support student engagement, academic success, wellness, and belonging within a graduate student population.
