Job Responsibilities
The Director, Social Investment is responsible for managing a team of paid social experts that activate and manage social campaigns across all social platforms. You will oversee a growing client portfolio and collaborate with other team members to deliver innovative solutions to the book of business. This role focuses on helping Rise drive revenue growth in three core areas:

- Working in full collaboration with the Account Management team to grow pre-existing Rise revenue through uncovering and tactically up-selling strategic client growth opportunities, an emphasis on cross-channel or full-funnel growth initiatives.

As part of accomplishing the above objectives, the Director, Social Investment will operate across a wide variety of internal and external situations, including coaching internal channel managers on complex strategic initiatives, pitching C-Level client contacts on new business opportunities, and working with Client Partners to craft compelling narratives to sell-through strategic growth initiatives.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required; the candidate should be comfortable with client relationship/risk management, managing a high-performance team, and overseeing large complex accounts with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. A passion for social media and its role in the consumer journey and marketing funnel is essential. The candidate should have an astute understanding of the social landscape across channels and platforms and be a leader who promotes collaboration and ideation.
The Director will oversee employee development and retention, including training and goal setting, and lead the team in ensuring tactical execution of media planning, placement, and reporting (including post-buy and financial reconciliation) with accuracy and timeliness. Process and project management expertise to scale across multiple accounts or teams is required.
Key responsibilities include establishing a center of excellence for paid social initiatives, developing and executing social strategies for evergreen and event-based campaigns, and delivering strategic guidance to clients with measurable programs that meet budget and exceed objectives.
Job RequirementsAppropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.
Education- Bachelor’s degree (communications, marketing, advertising, or business)
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Certificates in Meta, Tik Tok, Snap, You Tube required; experience with other social platforms (X, Reddit, Linked In, Pinterest, etc.) is a plus
- 10+ years relevant work experience in digital / social marketing; agency experience a plus
- 5+ years of experience tactically managing campaigns in-platform
- Experience in or familiarity with additional digital channels (Programmatic, SEO, Affiliate, or Paid Search) is a plus
- Expert usage of Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel
- Experience building media plans and determining budget allocation on a yearly and monthly basis using different forecasting methodologies
- Experience developing, managing and leading high-performance teams
- Strong relationships with publisher and technology partners
- Expert knowledge of the importance and role of social within a media plan and how to leverage its strengths
- Client-facing and/or C-level track record
- Experience participating in new business pitches
- Proficient in social tactics and strategies
- Demonstrated experience managing strategy for large, complex clients with minimums of $5M+ spend per year
- Strong analytical capabilities to understand technical nuances of media buying platforms
