Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Quality Engineering
The company is seeking a detail-oriented Restricted Substances Specialist to support regulatory compliance initiatives related to global chemical and restricted substances regulations. This role will focus on data management, cross-functional collaboration, supplier engagement, and implementation of compliance processes related to environmental and chemical regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with experience in manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, or regulatory environments.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, technical, or related field
- Experience or knowledge in manufacturing, quality, engineering, supply chain, or chemical regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to independently prioritize workload and manage multiple projects effectively
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional and global team environments
- Familiarity with SAP systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential information
- Familiarity with ARENA or similar product lifecycle management systems
- Knowledge of global restricted substances regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, or Proposition 65
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, research and development, or supply chain operations
- Review and analyze component and sub-assembly data to assess restricted substances impact and compliance requirements
- Support implementation and maintenance of restricted substances management regulatory programs including REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, and Proposition 65
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and external suppliers to support compliance initiatives
- Organize, manage, and execute multiple regulatory and compliance-related projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Develop project timelines, monitor deliverables, communicate progress updates, and support risk mitigation activities
- Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business processes and compliance activities
- Collect, organize, maintain, and track supplier and third-party manufacturer data within internal systems
- Support process improvements and development of tools related to restricted substances management activities
