Our client, a leader in chemical manufacturing, is looking to hire an entry level
** Chemist
* * to join their team!

** Pay Rate:$21/hour*
* ** Hours** : 9am- 6pm, Monday
- Thursday

** Terms** : contract-to-hire

This candidate will be responsible for assisting with routine quality control wet chemistry in an industrial chemical environment.

** Job Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities*
* + Perform routine quality control testing and evaluation of chemicals and blended products to ensure compliance with established standards.

+ Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

+ Inspect USP containers and tanker shipments, as applicable.

+ Gauge, sample, and document incoming ethanol shipments in accordance with company procedures, when applicable.

+ Accurately document test results, product status, and any chemical nonconformances identified during inspection and testing activities.

+ Maintain and organize quality assurance records and documentation.

+ Verify that raw materials, work-in-process materials, and finished goods meet established specifications and quality requirements.

+ Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for approved products.

+ Perform USP testing, routine monograph testing, and related documentation activities, as required.

+ Support compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards through accurate testing, recordkeeping, and reporting.

** Essential skills and qualifications*
* + A bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry.

+ A strong foundation in chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.

+ Proficiency in data analysis, including relevant software.

+ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

+ Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

+ Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
