Purpose:
The primary functions of this position are conducting laboratory experiments and analysis in support of molecular toxicology studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage in independent research to explore, develop, troubleshoot, and refine novel cell, biochemical, and molecular biology assays/techniques tailored to critical project demands.
- Demonstrate expertise in a wide array of experimental techniques and data analysis methods.
- Generate, coordinate, and present pivotal data on toxicity mechanisms utilizing in vitro assays or new alternative methodologies (NAMs) as required.
- Efficiently analyze and interpret molecular toxicology data, ensuring timely communication of findings and insights to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively to transfer in vitro platforms and methods across various key groups within Abb Vie.
- MS in cell/molecular biology, Molecular toxicology/Pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related field with 0-2+ yrs experience. BS in cell/molecular biology, Molecular toxicology/Pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related field with 0-2+ yrs experience
- Experience in basic cell culture and cell biology, biochemical, and molecular biology (RNA, DNA, protein) endpoints. Knowledge of spheroid/organoid culture/analysis is a plus
- Good analytical skills and knowledge in data analysis, interpretation, report writing, and communication (both written and oral)
- Practical knowledge of in vitro assay development and troubleshooting, ability to work in a rapid pace environment
- Experience with molecular model characterization and imaging endpoint a plus
- Knowledge of traditional scientific, statistical, and graphing software
