Job DescriptionThe Supervisor, Security Systems will be responsible for enterprise‑wide security systems including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection and other programs required for the protection of Abb Vie resources and assets. This role will provide strategic guidance and tactical support for new installations, upgrades to existing systems and problem resolution for Abb Vie sites globally. This position requires strong collaboration and influence with other Abb Vie functions and outside service providers.
Responsibilities- Accountable for planning, development, and deployment of security systems for Abb Vie locations globally.
- Develop (no coding) physical security plans (access control, surveillance and alarms) for our sites and configure the applications to meet site requirements.
- Partner with BTS for infrastructure and/or application changes that require a system life cycle management process.
- Develop and communicate long‑range plans for security system deployment across the enterprise.
- Provide technical expertise for project scoping and planning, requirements gathering and technical support of security systems, responsibility for project budgets.
- Evaluate and benchmark Abb Vie's security system posture in the industry and make appropriate recommendations for identified gaps, staying forward looking for relevant technologies, required competencies and/or skill sets.
- Develop and maintain relationships and performance standards for third‑party integrators and contractors.
- Responsible for policies, procedures and training related to security systems including badging activities; ensure compliance with CDC and DEA regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop a security systems team responsible for access control, technical support, system upgrades, and other security initiatives as required.
- Manage installations and conversions of the access control systems globally, including management of third‑party vendors providing support and direction as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain and/or pursue appropriate system certifications for self and staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 7–8 years of total experience in security systems or related field and progressive leadership experience, including people or large and complex project management leadership experience.
- Experience in security systems implementation/deployment, security integration, and project management; lead and develop a qualified security system team.
- Genetec Certification.
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short‑term incentive programs.
