Job Description
Hours/Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Rotating Shift - 4 days on/4 days off)
Independently perform Senior level technical support within the maintenance department. Trains lower‑level technicians on more advanced tasks.
Responsibilities- Adhere to Abb Vie’s code of conduct.
- Maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
- Assist in root cause investigation and reliability‑centered maintenance analysis.
- Capable of training others on tasks.
- Possess proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines and create or edit maintenance job plans.
- Possess intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
- Fully proficient in core functions, performing advanced level tasks.
- Assist cross‑functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
- Support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or site.
- Understand and follow all safety and GMP regulations.
- HS diploma with 10+ years experience or relevant certificate with 5+ years experience or associate technical degree with 3+ years experience, or proficiency in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired.
- Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
- Proficient in setting up, using, repairing, and replacing all I/O or BAS‑controlled systems including current‑to‑pressure transducers, controller boards, actuators, valves, dampers, electric pressure switches, pressure‑current sensors, temperature‑to‑current sensors, and humidity‑to‑current sensors.
- Must have working knowledge of the HVAC/R validation/commissioning process.
- Analyze and interpret electrical diagrams and layers to work with voltages of 24 Vac, 120 Vac, and 460 Vac.
- Install, maintain, and repair walk‑in coolers and walk‑in freezers, ensuring temperature regulation and product preservation.
- Utilize advanced calculations such as superheat and subcooling calculations to optimize refrigeration processes and system efficiency.
- Operate and troubleshoot Beacon 2 smart controllers and Intelli Gen systems manufactured by Heatcraft for optimal refrigeration performance.
- Certified by the Federal EPA for operation of refrigerant reclaiming equipment and for proper usage and disposal of all refrigerants.
- Valid driver’s license.
The compensation range described below reflects the range of possible base pay compensation that Abb Vie believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location. Abb Vie may modify the range in the future.
