Job DescriptionInvestigate, identify, and implement state‑of‑the‑art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in multiple business areas. Act as a cloud application engineer in your area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions.
Responsibilities- Directly involved in the design and operation of large‑scale cloud services (AWS), including troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Demand critical thinking skills, ability to quickly understand existing systems and work in agile environments.
- Build cloud‑native services using REST APIs, microservices‑based architectures, and containerized technologies
- Build high‑scale distributed systems and fault‑tolerant design
- Develop agile and test‑driven development methodologies
- Develop the software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CICD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct technology assessments and proofs of concept to evaluate emerging solutions for business needs.
- Implement security best practices and work with cross‑functional teams.
- Engineer platform‑as‑a‑product solutions supporting diverse tech stacks with developer‑first design and self‑service capabilities
- Integrate generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications, enabling intelligent automation and enhanced user experiences
- Implement Open Telemetry standards for comprehensive observability, distributed tracing, and performance monitoring
- Leverage AWS expertise to architect high‑performance, auto‑scaling solutions optimizing cost and reliability
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ experience; master’s degree with 5 years’ experience;
PhD with 0 years, experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred. - Strong hands‑on technology experience developing applications on AWS cloud
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
- Experience working with Java or other modern programming languages
- A passion to learn new software technologies
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Experience conducting technology evaluations or assessments
- Technology certifications are strongly preferred, AWS certifications a plus.
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
This range may be modified in the future. - We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
- This job is eligible to participate in our short‑term incentive programs.
