Sr. ServiceNow Developer

Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Now Senior Developer to support a strategic Service Now consolidation initiative related to the integration of Exact Sciences (OnCO) into Abbott. This role will focus on the design, development, configuration, integration, and migration of Service Now capabilities as the organization transitions approximately 8,000 users to a single Service Now instance. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise across the Service Now platform, including ITSM, CMDB, integrations, workflow automation, and data migration.

This individual will work closely with Service Now architects, business analysts, process owners, and platform leadership to deliver scalable solutions that support service management process alignment and platform consolidation. Key Responsibilities Service Now Development & Configuration Design, develop, and configure solutions within the Service Now platform to support migration and integration objectives. Build and enhance workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Flow Designer solutions, and custom applications.

Develop and maintain platform customizations while adhering to Service Now development best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues, defects, and performance challenges. Platform Integration & Migration Develop and support technical integrations between legacy and target Service Now environments. Assist in the migration of Service Now processes, configurations, data, user groups, and catalog items. Support consolidation efforts into a single Service Now instance.

Develop scripts and automation solutions to streamline migration and transformation activities. Participate in cutover planning and production deployment activities. ITSM & Process Enablement Support implementation and enhancement of:
Incident Management Change Management Problem Management Service Catalog Knowledge Management Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Collaborate with Business Analysts and process owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Configure workflows and automation supporting future-state processes. CMDB & Data Management Support CMDB integration, configuration, and data migration efforts. Analyze and transform configuration data, CI relationships, and service mappings. Assist with CMDB data quality initiatives and governance requirements.

Develop solutions supporting infrastructure, network, and application asset integration. Collaboration & Delivery Work closely with Service Now architects, SMEs, and technical teams to design and implement scalable solutions. Participate in technical design sessions and code reviews. Contribute to solution documentation, deployment plans, and operational support procedures. Support testing, validation, and remediation activities throughout the migration lifecycle. Provide technical expertise during project planning and execution phases.

Experience developing Service Now integrations using REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub. Strong JavaScript development skills within the Service Now platform. Experience with data migration, transformation, and platform consolidation initiatives. Knowledge of Service Now security, ACLs, roles, and application architecture. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver scalable solutions.

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
