Nourish the Service (NTS) Event Contractor – New England

New England region:
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island

Contract Type: Independent Contractor
Contract Period: {Month of Hire} – December 2026
Payment

Monthly invoicing based on completed deliverables
Service Area: New England region (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI)

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of four (4) NTS food distribution events during the contract period.
  • For each event, deliver:
    • Secure venue and coordinate logistics.
    • Source food and configure distribution setup.
    • Execute on‑site operations and breakdown.
  • Ensure all events align with BSF program intent and community standards.
  • Coordinate vendors, resources, and volunteers for each event.
  • Coordinate community partners.
  • Document event statistics and submit a post‑event summary report within 48 hours after each event.
Compensation & Terms
  • $1500 per event, paid upon receipt of invoice.
  • Contractor must invoice BSF on agreed terms and is responsible for own tax obligations, insurance, and business expenses.
  • Contractor may provide services to other clients during the term of this agreement.
  • Payment structure to be outlined in a separate contract; BSF shall not direct how services are performed.
Qualifications
  • Experience delivering community‑based events or large‑scale logistics coordination.
  • Experience with food distribution, food access programs, or related service initiatives.
  • Ability to coordinate partners or vendors across multiple locations.
  • Experience in resource development or creating community‑facing materials.
  • Independent contractor mindset, self‑directed and responsible for required equipment and software.
