Hankinson Public School is seeking dependable, flexible, and student-focused individuals to serve as substitute teachers. Substitutes play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students when regular classroom teachers are absent.
Position TypeSubstitute / Substitute Teacher
Position OverviewSubstitute teachers provide classroom instruction, supervision, and support across grade levels as needed. This is a great opportunity for retired educators, college students, community members, or anyone interested in supporting education.
Responsibilities- Following lesson plans and instructions left by the classroom teacher
- Maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
- Supporting student learning and engagement
- Communicating effectively with school staff
- Supervising students during class periods and assigned duties
- North Dakota substitute teacher license (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a classroom and adapt to different situations
- Positive attitude and commitment to student success
- Substitute teachers are paid at a rate of $140 per full day or $70 per half day
- Complimentary lunch is provided for substitute teachers
