Hankinson Public School is seeking dependable, flexible, and student-focused individuals to serve as substitute teachers. Substitutes play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students when regular classroom teachers are absent.

Position Overview:
Substitute teachers provide classroom instruction, supervision, and support across grade levels as needed. This is a great opportunity for retired educators, college students, community members, or anyone interested in supporting education.

Responsibilities Include:

• Following lesson plans and instructions left by the classroom teacher
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment
• Supporting student learning and engagement
• Communicating effectively with school staff
• Supervising students during class periods and assigned duties

Qualifications:

• North Dakota substitute teacher license (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage a classroom and adapt to different situations
• Positive attitude and commitment to student success

Compensation:

• Substitute teachers are paid at a rate of $140 per full day or $70 per half day
• Complimentary lunch is provided for substitute teachers
