Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
The BCBA will provide leadership, supervision, and direct instruction to students in a special education setting for students with challenging behaviors. The BCBA will work with the Lead Teacher in evaluating intake and exits from special education setting along with coordination of services including meetings with parents and service providers. Also coordinating the process of transition into the program as well as coordinating the transition back to home school district supports.
The BCBA will be providing direct behavioral supports in a self-contained regional special education room at either Central Cass Public Schools or Kindred Public Schools. The regional self-contained classroom, is a collaborative effort with the Rural Cass Special Education Unit and the South Valley Special Education Unit to support students with unique behaviors. This position will provide direct academic instruction, behavior supports, and work collaboratively with other professionals to support these students' behavioral needs.
Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Performance is equally a function of goal attainment; timely and accurate completion of assignments; building positive internal and external relationships; planning, communicating, and coordinating work to avoid last minute confusion; and adherence legal/compliance guidelines and policies/procedures.
Significant Job Duties
- 80% Behavioral Support Services
- Assist staff in defining and measuring targeted behavior for complex students
- Use behavioral expertise to support and coach classroom teachers related to Tier I, Tier 2 and Tier 3 positive behavioral interventions or strategies for students
- Provide leadership and training for schools in the use of behavioral data and fidelity measures to make informed decisions
- Facilitate school and/or regional team-based trainings or meetings to help design and implement positive support behavioral plans
- Work to expand access to special education services for member districts by leveraging resources through creative partnerships
- Represent the SEEC at local, regional, and statewide meetings related to special education, behavioral health, or any others identified as an area of need
- Promote and maintain positive relationships with multiple school districts, special education unit and regional education association

- In conjunction with the Special Education Directors, review the current regional special education programs and identify potential opportunities that align to the agency's strategic goals

Position requires travel within the SEEC service area, North Dakota to fulfill job goals. If not traveling, work location is in Fargo at the SEEC office. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines while maintaining professional demeanor.
