Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Research Scientist

Temporary assignment at an agricultural research center responsible for assisting scientists and technicians in processes of a livestock research program. Position requires diverse skills with major responsibilities to include grounds maintenance activities, facility maintenance, livestock care and data collection, and equipment operation.
Responsibilities- Assistance with animal care, weighing, sorting, and moving cattle
- Mowing and grounds maintenance
- Facility maintenance including fencing and pen cleaning
- Assisting with haying operations
Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Advertised PayCommensurate with experience.
Pay considerationsPay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications- Willingness to be timely to work schedule and desire to put forth consistent and full work days
- Experience or demonstrated ability to learn the skills necessary to operate specialized research equipment and follow written and verbal instructions
- Detail oriented, ability to maintain focus on task
