An Ellendale, ND data center is looking to add an Automation Engineer to their team. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to optimize performance, energy efficiency, and reliability in the HVAC industry. This includes startup and commissioning of microprocessor-based control components and managing QA/QC processes.
Key Responsibilities:Design HVAC automation systems, including BMS and DDC.
Develop control strategies to improve system efficiency and performance.
Install and configure automation components like PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
Integrate HVAC systems with BAS and IoT platforms for centralized control.
Perform startup of control components, ensuring proper function.
Manage QA/QC checklists and commissioning logs to meet project standards.
Monitor system performance and diagnose automation-related issues.
Conduct regular maintenance and ensure uptime of automated systems.
Align automation activities with construction schedules.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth system integration.
Ensure systems meet energy codes and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments to ensure occupant safety and reliability.
This person must have 5+ years of automation related experience and an associate's degree in Tech., Electronic, or Automation is preferred, but not required. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with a pay range of $90k-110k+ DOE and EXCELLENT benefits are offered. This is an employee-owned company.
