HVAC Estimator

Location: Watford - Hybrid (Office & Remote)

Salary: £70,000 + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our client’s growing team, supporting the delivery of commercial and industrial projects with values up to £3 million. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role in securing and delivering high-quality mechanical projects.

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects up to £3m
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Produce detailed take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Support the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving solutions
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost models

• Proven experience in HVAC estimating within commercial and/or industrial sectors
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office

• Experience working on Design & Build tenders
• Familiarity with a range of estimating software platforms
• Broader knowledge of mechanical project delivery processes
