Dmc Slot Technician (Full-Time) Where Needed
The slot technician tests function of electronic assemblies, components, and parts according to established procedures. Responsible for the preventive maintenance, repairs and maintenance, and troubleshooting of all slot machines. Additionally, slot technicians are responsible for providing service to our guests including, but not limited to, payouts, answering questions, and handling minor disputes.

Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
Preferred:
- 2 years previous slot technician experience or electronic technology background or certificate of completion from a slot technical program
Skills Required:
- Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Strong problem solving skills
- Basic math skills (ability to demonstrate proficiency)
Abilities
Required:
- Ability to maintain high confidentiality
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work cooperatively with all departments
- Ability to manage extensive amounts of paperwork
- Ability to operate most office equipment (computer, fax, copier, e)
- Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds routinely
- Repairs malfunctioning slot machines and equipment
- Operates electronic test equipment as required to facilitate repair
- Uses small tools to effect installation and repair of slot machines and other equipment
- Assists slot supervisor in all jackpots or hand pays
- Changes paper in slot machines
- Familiarizes themselves with promotions, events featured at the casino, slot machine pay lines and features
- Responsible for gaming keys issued to them during their assigned shift
- Assists beverage department when needed
- Observe guests to identify regulars and learn names
- Encourage players to join our rewards club
- Learn rewards club's rules and policies
- Assists guests on how to use rewards cards
- Prepares records and reports describing types of repair work and preventative maintenance performed
- Replaces defective components or repairs defective wiring testing
- Cleans slot areas as required
- Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures and the casino mics
- Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the dakota magic casino and of the slot operations department

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The team member is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.
Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Extensive computer use. Must handle hazardous materials. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
