Operations Assistant

Hensall Co-op is seeking a reliable individual to become an integral member of our team! This position is full-time, working out of the Drayton location. This position requires a high degree of customer service and administrative tasks.

• Assist Location Manager and Field Marketers with administrative functions including preparing and entering prepayments and reconciling
• Assist customers with inquiries and concerns both over the phone and in person
• Administer the billing of point of sale for fertilizer, crop protection products, crop services at the Drayton location
• Weigh all grain deliveries and shipments and conduct grain grading to assess quality and grade
• Provide direction & supervision to Yard Operators as needed
• All other duties as required by the Location Manager

• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends during busy seasons to meet seasonal demands
• Knowledge of office/administrative procedures
• This job requires sitting at a computer with a high degree of both walking and standing to assist customers at service counter and blending/weight counters
• Computer skills, including strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Enthusiastic, courteous manner with customers, members, and co-workers
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

• Valid G License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service position
• Agricultural background considered an asset

Pay Range: $20.20 - $22.50/hour
