Essential Functions
Support the Annual Operating Budget Process, including responsibility for key meetings internally and building presentations to meet deadlines.
Provide Field Management with ad hoc reports needed to better measure operating performance.
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and results.
Interpret and explain results to Senior Management.
Coordinate all calculations supporting quarterly bonus payouts to Operations and work within the division and company to pull data together for use in a model that is updated as the criteria changes.
Model anticipated changes and present results.
Produce period‑by‑period scorecard for Operational Performance of each store, market, region, and overall division.
Prepare investment cases for different projects to support AFE’s.
Evaluate projected financial results of undertaking new projects by analyzing capital expenditure proposals, recommending courses of action.
Increase professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing financial and key result area targets pursuant to company plan guidelines.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in financial analysis, strategic planning, or budgeting and forecasting.
Relevant experience in Convenience Retailing would be ideal and preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements required.
Must have advanced knowledge and skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Willing to adapt to a dynamic business environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in a clear manner to all levels of management, both orally and in writing.
Computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Physical RequirementsSit for long periods of time, operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry, view computer monitor, hear and speak via telephone, reach forward and/or overhead, occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Work EnvironmentNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas. Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
