Key Responsibilities- Develop new business banking relationships through networking, referrals, business development activities, and community involvement.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial and agricultural lending relationships while providing exceptional customer service.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and credit risk to structure appropriate lending solutions.
- Originate, underwrite, service, and monitor commercial and agricultural loans in accordance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-sell business banking products and services, including deposit accounts, treasury management solutions, and other commercial banking offerings.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Ensure all lending activities comply with internal credit policies, banking regulations, and compliance standards.
- Stay informed on local business conditions, agricultural markets, and economic trends to provide knowledgeable financial guidance.
- Collaborate with internal banking partners to deliver comprehensive financial solutions that meet customer needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in commercial, business, or agricultural banking.
- Experience developing business relationships and managing a commercial or agricultural loan portfolio preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending, credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and underwriting principles.
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven business development, networking, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
