Travel ER RN Job Details- Job Title: Travel Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)

- Start Date: 03/23/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (through 06/22/2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020–$2,130/week
- Schedule: 36 hours/week (self-scheduling; manager balances)
- Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend (possibly every 3rd) and every other holiday
- Floating: May float to Med/Surg as needed
- Charting/EMR: MEDITECH
- Unit Snapshot: 2 ER rooms + 1 overflow; average 4–5 patients/day; typical ratio ~2:1; charge nurse responsible for ER patients and has no patient assignment
- Orientation: 1 day shift + 1 night shift on the unit
- ER RN Experience: Emergency Department / ER Registered Nurse experience in rural, critical access, or similar setting preferred
- RN License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for submission
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
- Clinical Skills: Bedside triage, trauma stabilization, cardiac care (including STEMI stabilization/transfer), and common ED drips (e.g., heparin, cardizem, nitro)
- Flexibility: Willingness to support Med/Surg nursing as needed
- Provide rapid assessment, bedside triage, and evidence-based emergency nursing care for acute illnesses and injuries
- Stabilize and manage trauma and cardiac patients, including preparing patients for transfer to a higher level of care when indicated
- Initiate and manage IV therapies, titratable drips, and medication administration per protocol and provider orders
- Perform essential bedside tasks such as EKG acquisition, telemetry strip review, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Coordinate care with on-call radiology, lab/phlebotomy, EMS, and inpatient units to support safe patient throughput
- Document accurately and on time in MEDITECH EMR and maintain compliance with ED policies, patient safety standards, and quality measures
- Support a team-based environment, including assisting with respiratory equipment setup as needed in the absence of 24/7 RT coverage
