Patient Access Specialist; Differential Waiver - Prior Authorization

• Review and validate insurance eligibility and prior authorization for medical services
• Communicate with third‑party payers, healthcare professionals, and customers to prioritize requests
• Verify patient registration and confirm benefit coverage, including deductibles and out‑of‑pocket expenses
• Collaborate with provider offices to clarify documentation and ensure medical necessity
• Document work in case management module and provide direction to cross‑functional teams

• Minimum educational requirement:
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting required
• Understanding of medical terminology and insurance background required
• Proficient in using office equipment and computers
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Post‑secondary education in a related field is helpful
• Experience with case management or utilization management processes
• Familiarity with Advanced Beneficiary Notices (ABN) and waivers
• Knowledge of healthcare data management and reporting
• Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting
