Mental Health Counselor

The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for providing standardized clinical mental health counseling services that involve the application of principles of human development, learning therapy, psychotherapy, group dynamics, and the etiology of mental illness and dysfunctional behavior to individuals, couples, families, and groups for the purpose of promoting optimal mental health, dealing with normal problems of living, and treating psychopathic disorders.

The Mental Health Counselor will work with other team members to address other social risk needs of patients and will utilize area referral network and resources for needed emergencies or advanced psychiatric assessment and services.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Behavioral Health Counselor licensure such as LCSW or LPCC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
