Position: SENIOR MANAGING PROFESSIONAL - THERAPY SERVICES
Location: Logan Center

Senior Managing Professional

Provides evaluation and treatment for clients in the following specialties:
Speech and Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Family Support Therapy (FST), Developmental Therapy (DT), and related services. Creates treatment plans and outcomes in each client’s treatment plan and individualized family service plan (where applicable), using therapeutic modalities and procedures to maintain or increase skills. Communicates with staff and families regarding evaluation, treatment, and progress, provides parent training, and recommends home programming.

Manages a team of therapists.

Full‑time salaried position responsible for supervising full‑time, part‑time, and PRN staff. Maintains a caseload, reviews treatment plans and SOAP notes, and completes required approvals. Holds group and individual meetings, participates in employment and clinical reviews, monitors caseloads, and attends LOGAN management training.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Evaluation
  • Assist in evaluating clients with other professionals or individually
  • Communicate assessment results as directed
  • Determine client needs with families and other professionals, including LOGAN staff and external service providers; plan necessary interventions such as home programs and communication systems
Therapy
  • Collaborate with families and provide individual therapy when appropriate to maintain or enhance targeted skills
  • Support parents as teachers by providing necessary resources and support
  • Work with LOGAN staff and external providers to develop, implement, and measure therapeutic goals
Communication
  • Communicate effectively with staff, agencies, community programs, and families
Records and Reports
  • Maintain daily progress notes and client progress reports in accordance with payor requirements (e.g., Medicaid, insurance)
  • Complete discharge reports or exit skill summaries for all children transitioning out of services
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and parent group meetings as requested
  • Collaborate with team members in writing treatment plans and/or individual family service plans
  • Attend workshops and conferences to meet credentialing requirements
  • Serve as a resource for information on specialized professions
  • Collaborate on development of outcomes and goals
  • Provide written programs and reports to families and other professionals per client payor guidelines
General Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the health and safety of people served
  • Embed LOGAN Core Standards in all work and supervision
  • Advocate for and protect rights of people served
  • Participate in required training
  • Maintain all reporting and therapeutic requirements as outlined by contracted payors
  • Supervise professional staff in therapy services, including reviews, Paylocity monitoring, approvals, and quality standards
  • Provide feedback to supervises
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Plan instructional activities and assist families in accessing community resources
  • Submit required monthly statistics on time
  • Respect confidentiality and cultural diversity in accordance with LOGAN policies
  • Serve on LOGAN committee addressing internal operations as needed
  • Coordinate care with internal and external providers respectfully
  • Carry out additional duties as necessary for program improvement
Qualifications

Education

  • All required education, training, certification, and licensure for the profession

Experience

  • At least 5 years working with IDD, DD, or ASD populations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication with staff, supervisors, and agency personnel
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and families
  • Creative and innovative approach to new ideas
  • Independent work and sound judgment
  • For Indiana providers: currently registered/licensed with the Health Professions Bureau of Indiana
  • For community services: valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to visits and sessions
  • Participate in LOGAN trainings and in‑service experiences
  • Indiana only:
    Enrolled in First Steps as a provider
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds during therapeutic sessions
