Position Overview:

This role is akin to a Senior Medical Science Liaison and involves individual contribution. The Senior Field Medical Director (SFMD) will support pipeline development through external collaborations and research, reporting to the Senior Regional Director, Hematology. The role involves developing regional strategies to foster relationships with opinion leaders, research collaborators, and key organizations to support pipeline advancement, focusing on solid tumors and hematology.

Territory:

Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement territory plans impacting healthcare providers and patient outcomes.
  • Build and maintain credible scientific relationships with opinion leaders and healthcare providers.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with scientific and clinical organizations, including guideline groups and cooperative research entities.
  • Serve as an internal resource for clinical and scientific information.
  • Provide feedback on emerging clinical trends and nominate sites for clinical research.
  • Support the organization’s presence at major and regional congresses.
  • Identify investigators and sites for clinical trials and manage research proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support medical meetings and educational initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with business practices and support budget planning.
Minimum Qualifications:

For Senior Director: MD, PharmD, PhD, or DO with at least 6 years of clinical/scientific experience or NP, PA, Master’s Degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

For Director: Similar qualifications with minimum 5 years (MD, PharmD, PhD, DO) or 7 years (NP, PA, Master’s Degree).

Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience in hematology/oncology or related fields.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60-70%.
  • Deep understanding of disease states, healthcare systems, and research design.
Other Details:

No direct supervisory responsibilities. Proficiency in MS Office required. Salary range: $222,800 - $292,800 annually, with comprehensive benefits. Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
