Overview:
Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting multiple lines of roles and responsibilities such as:
Benefits administration, performance management, recruitment, employment processing/on boarding, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, training, employment law compliance, payroll, development and implementation for both policies and procedures.
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel
- Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Performs benefits administration
- Recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, and interns
- Understanding of FLSA and Multi-state payroll regulations
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Manage company leave programs by effectively interpreting FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence/disabilities
- Annual reporting, such as OSHA, EEO-1, and Vet 100/A
- Handles employee relations counseling, investigations, and performance improvement plan (PIP) preparation
- Work with supervisors to implement progressive discipline
- Advise employees and supervisors about company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures
- Prepare statistical and written reports with varying degrees of complexity and detail for management
- Administration of human resource programs as assigned
- Identify potential issues in a proactive and timely manner
- Familiarity with Affiantive Action and OFCCP compliance
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent time management, organizational, and detail skills
- Ability to work in a diverse fast-paced environment
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on hard surfaces
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds
- Ability to communicate verbally using a telephone
- Vision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens
- Office Environment with controlled temperatures
