Areas of Responsibility
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions that align with engineering standards and support business needs.
  • Design, implement, and manage Red Hat Open Shift clusters in on-premises (physical and virtualised) environments.
  • Take ownership of systems engineering projects related to Open Shift infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and optimise deployment and release workflows.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Open Shift and associated Dev Ops tools.
  • Automate operational and deployment tasks using Ansible and other scripting tools.
  • Perform patching and upgrades of Open Shift clusters, ArgoCD, Git Lab CI, and related components in compliance with change‑management procedures.
  • Design, implement, and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.
  • Participate in on-call / standby rotation to support critical platform and infrastructure services and ensure service continuity.
  • Support daily operations including trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of platform issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
  • Improve alerting, monitoring, and observability capabilities across Open Shift and related systems.
  • When Open Shift-related workload is limited, perform general system administration activities, including Linux server administration, infrastructure maintenance, and support of data centre services as part of the infrastructure team.
  • Produce and maintain up-to-date documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training to colleagues on Open Shift, Git Lab, and related infrastructure technologies.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience; alternatively, equivalent professional certifications (including Red Hat Open Shift training) combined with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Proven hands‑on experience deploying, operating, and maintaining Open Shift and Git Lab CI platforms.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure automation practices, particularly using Ansible.
  • Solid background in Linux system administration within enterprise or datacenter environments.
  • Ability to document architectures, configurations, and standards, and to develop and maintain SOPs and training materials.
  • Upper‑intermediate level of English (both spoken and written).
Will be an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations principles.
  • Experience with ArgoCD, monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), or disaster recovery tooling.
