Freight Forwarder

Overview

As a freight forwarder for Contract Logistics at DSV in Venlo, you will organise and coordinate the entire transport process for our customers, ensuring efficient shipment combinations, accurate rates, and clear communication.

• combine shipments and purchase transport under the best possible conditions;
• determine sales rates and secure optimal margins;
• follow up on leads, shipments and transport statuses;
• maintain communication with customers, carriers and internal stakeholders;
• resolve any deviations or disruptions in the transport process.

• resilience and strong analytical skills;
• experience as a transport planner or freight forwarder is a strong advantage;
• experience with MS Office; knowledge of Excel is a plus;
• good command of the English language (Dutch is not required).
