BGIS is currently seeking an Assistant Critical Facility Manager to join the team Harwood, ND.

Job Summary

The Assistant Critical Facility Manager ensures delivery of uninterrupted daily service to designated clients. The position prioritizes daily tasks for the team. Key job activities include team management, facility operations and standards. The Assistant Critical Facility Manager leads others positively exemplifying BGIS values.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Team Management
  • Provide input in managerial functions including hiring, coaching and separations.
  • Direct team to ensure successful achievement of business goals and process adhesion.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members, including goal setting worksheets and performance reviews.
  • Act as steward of BGIS culture, communicate and positive influence policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage training and staffing budget.
  • Support and assist Critical Environments Facility Manager.
  • Achieve budgeted financial results.
  • Manage the resolution of facility related technical issues.
  • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
Facility Operations
  • Maintain positive client relationships.
  • Create team member work schedules.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Update logbooks and check-sheets for equipment settings, reading, operating parameters and utility consumption.
  • Report on daily center operations.
  • Manage and maintain the site equipment list.
  • Ensure availability and accessibility of all parts and supplies.
  • Confirm site records remain current.
Maintain Facility Standards
  • Ensure vendor employees are familiar with building systems, are properly equipped, are familiar with required tools, and wear uniforms.
  • Act as a technical resource.
  • Remain current on all facility systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Function as the site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific types of systems.
  • Audit compliance with site specific facility operating procedures, processes, work rules and regulations.
  • Comply with nation, state and local safety and operating codes.
  • Maintain training and instructional materials for vendor employees.
  • Recommend changes in equipment settings, operating parameters, and utility consumption to assure normal operations.
  • Implement utility conservation programs.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Four years working knowledge of Critical Environment operations.
  • HVAC or Electrical experience provides trouble-shooting knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing vendor and client relationships.
  • Previous success managing and leading teams.
  • Time Management skills to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Current valid driver's license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.
