- Coordinate material movement between departments per the routing requirements.
- Sort questionable materials per Quality Control’s request.
- Print and distribute pick tickets and perform computer transactions as necessary.
- Organize the sequence of pulling material and relay information to Material Support.
- Ensure production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods. Assist during daily peak times to operate material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.
- Maintain good communication and feedback with management, employees on their shift and between shifts.
- Assist the supervisor/area manager with continuous improvement projects, evaluation of new equipment, determination of training needs and interviewing/hiring.
- Monitor and enforce shop floor control systems.
- Study systems and procedures for opportunities for improvement. Propose changes to the Materials Manager and assure successful implementation of approved improvements.
- Work with Raymond repair personnel to ensure equipment maintenance is current and also maintain battery charging stations.
- Work with Area Managers and other production department supervisors to facilitate the most efficient carrying out of receiving duties.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- 2–5 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing production environment.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain MEC Material Handling Certification.
