Position: House Mechanic
Location: Drayton

House Mechanic (Millwright)

Additional $4.00/hr shift incentive when working the 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.
Entry level pay: $33.78/hr, potential progression to $38.31/hr (plus the shift incentive).

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide variety of maintenance interventions including basic parts replacements, equipment refurbishment, performance optimization, and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Inspect machines; carry out parts replacements, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment.
  • Understand operating principles of equipment and its role in the process/factory.
  • Work closely with production to ensure maintenance interventions are appropriate and effective.
  • Execute joining and fabrication activities: weld, cut, braze, and solder a variety of materials.
  • Perform welding of carbon steel (SMAW, GMAW) and stainless steel (SMAW).
Qualifications
  • 2‑year technical degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Design, Machinist & Toolmaker, or related field; or completion of a state‑approved millwright apprenticeship (non‑ACS) with a minimum of 2 years full‑time industrial millwright experience; or high‑school diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 5 consecutive years full‑time industrial millwright experience.
  • Must successfully complete millwright, welding, and basic skills testing.
  • Must pass a safety screen evaluating the ability to safely execute the duties and tasks defined for this position.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $33.78 – $38.31.
