The Production Analyst is an entry‑level role that supports plant production planning, material availability, inventory accuracy, and work order execution. This position assists with day‑to‑day scheduling, materials coordination, data tracking, and system transactions to help ensure manufacturing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with customer demand.
Responsibilities- Create, update, or monitor production and work order schedules in the ERP system.
- Enter purchase orders for packaging materials, ingredients, and supplies.
- Support accurate and timely work order completion and closure in the ERP system.
- Prepare basic reports related to inventory, work orders, and production performance.
- Investigate work order variances and identify data or process discrepancies.
- Help maintain accurate bills of materials and material assignments to work orders.
- Support production, materials, and leadership teams regarding plant priorities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation.
- Crosstrain in basic materials and planning tasks to provide coverage and operational support.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, planning, or data‑related roles preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Exposure to ERP systems (JD Edwards/IFS preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use fine motor skills throughout the shift.
