Welder​/Machine Operator

Typical schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Busy season will include Fridays)

The Welder/Machine Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of fabricating, assembling & welding of structural metal products.

• Efficiently and accurately set up and operate the Stamtec Press, Press Brake and/or Floor Machine for routine established work
• Load, install and correctly set up the tools required; including computer set-up
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle materials and completed work
• Operate hand & power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects
• Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
• Operates manual and automated welding units and equipment
• Assist other team members to get job done, as well as other duties as assigned

• Minimum 1-year experience in machine operation and welding is required
• Competent at basic dimensional measuring and math; as well as the ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
• Computer knowledge a plus
• Ability to work independently and with a team

• Routinely and continuously walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, reaching, and handling
• Ability to lift at least (75) pounds
• Working near moving mechanical parts; near noise routinely, and exposed to outdoor elements
