Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrate nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting, competency, and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, using appropriate age and population‑specific standards related to physical and psychosocial needs as outlined in the care plan.

Salary Range: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
Administer resident assessments, medications, and treatments as ordered; document resident interactions and outcomes; monitor health, comfort, and safety; recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to emergent situations; provide counseling to residents, families, and advocates under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician; and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities- Perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide needed care.
- Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document resident interactions and outcomes.
- Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
- Contribute to resident assessment and monitor health, comfort, and safety.
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Maintain effective working relationships with residents, providers, and the public.
- Counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
- Completed a pre‑licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the lifespan or a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility.
- Current, unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or multi‑state licensure privileges.
- For IV therapy/management: graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Maintain required departmental competencies, certifications, annual CEU, and competency training.
