$10,000 Sign On Bonus!
Additional $5,000 paid out after 60 days.
Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. Additional shift differentials for weekends.
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per the care plan. The NA is a member of the nursing team, holds infection prevention and control policies and personal protective equipment use, and assists with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, vital sign recording, and psychosocial support.
Transports residents using correct transfer techniques, provides range‑of‑motion and passive exercises, assists with food preparation and dining, documents resident interactions and care outcomes, communicates residents’ changing condition to the charge nurse, collects non-invasive specimens, provides housekeeping and laundry services, facilitates wellness and recreational programs, and may serve on departmental committees.
- High school graduate or GED (preferred but not required).
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire; CNA training and certification provided by facility.
- Completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits; a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education required annually.
- Maintains all department-specific required certifications.
- When applicable, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
- May be classified as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor-vehicle report, valid driver’s license, and medical qualification per Sanford Driving Policy.
