Job SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides resident‑centered care under RN supervision, delivering daily living assistance and support to residents in a long‑term care setting.
Responsibilities- Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper transfer techniques.
- Record vital signs and support residents with basic health‑care needs.
- Help with meals, providing water and supplements, and maintain a positive dining experience.
- Assist providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed.
- Document resident interactions, behaviors, and dietary information.
- Communicate resident condition changes and care concerns to the charge nurse.
- Collect non‑invasive specimens and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean.
- Assist with wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation.
- Participate in departmental committees and task forces as requested.
- High‑school graduate or GED (preferred).
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; must be completed within four months.
- Minimum age 16.
- Prior clinical or long‑term‑care experience preferred.
- Complete yearly competency testing and maintain 12 hours of continuing education each year.
- Maintain all department‑specific certifications.
- State‑specific UAP Registry registration if applicable.
- Driver qualifications and valid driver’s license may be required for certain duties.
