• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
• Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and practice, using appropriate age and population‑specific standards.
• Provide care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up throughout the continuum of care.
• Plan and coordinate care, conduct patient assessment, provide patient education, triage, and perform various nursing interventions.
• Operate within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules of the state of practice and licensure.
• Adhere to the Sanford Professional Nursing Practice’s Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with interpretive statements published by the American Nurses Association.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (e.g., AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license with the state board of nursing where practice occurs; or possess multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
