Position: Charge Nurse - RN - 12 Hour Days
Location: Velva

Job Summary

We are looking for a full‑time RN to join our team. This position provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner in a Christian environment. Hourly wages start at $33.50/hr with up to $3.00/hr shift differentials for evening and night shifts. A $30,000 sign‑on bonus is available.

Location: Souris Valley Care Center, 300 Main St S, Velva, ND 58790 USA
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Shift: 12 Hours – Day Shifts

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments of all residents on admission and ongoing basis.
  • Perform clinical skills in accordance with Competency Verification and Training Checklist.
  • Administer ordered medication, treatments and procedures within defined time frames, utilizing infection control procedures.
  • Use EMR accurately and document all resident condition changes, admissions, discharges, transfers, incidents and behavior documentation.
  • Assist with behavior management, pain management, and medication administration.
  • Follow protocols for pressure ulcers, dehydration, malnutrition, incontinence, and other resident health issues.
  • Maintain accurate glucometer testing and control monitoring.
  • Implement specific approaches to enhance resident mood according to care plans.
  • Complete seven‑day observation tool and participate in quality improvement processes, audits and corrective procedures.
  • Assist or complete portions of the MDS for Nursing and sign the forms.
  • Ensure physician’s orders are processed and physicians notified promptly.
  • Make rounds with physicians as assigned and attend or obtain resident report before shift.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and communicate condition changes to family and staff.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Prior work experience in a similar or related position preferred.
  • Maintain required certification/qualifications and associated standards.
  • Licensure for the state of practice is required.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing skills and therapeutic effects of medications.
