Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to residents during scheduled evening 8‑hour shifts in long‑term care. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse, following infection prevention and control policies and PPE usage. Responsibilities include basic health care tasks such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, recording vitals, providing psychosocial support, assisting with transfers, positioning, walking, and passive exercises.
The NA also assists with food preparation and dining, documents resident interactions, communicates changes in resident condition to the charge nurse, collects non‑invasive body fluid specimens, performs housekeeping and laundry, supports wellness and recreational programs, and may participate in committees and task forces.
Shift: 8 hours – Evening Shifts (every other weekend)

Salary Range: $19.00 – $25.50 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: up to $1,250 (eligible if qualifying)
- High school graduate or GED (preferred, but not required)
- Minimum age 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care (preferred)
- CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing within four months, or enrollment in a training program, or endorsement process
- Completion of yearly competency testing and maintaining at least 12 hours of continuing education annually
- Maintenance of all required certifications and state registry enrollment as applicable
- May be required to hold a valid driver’s license and meet medical qualification for Sanford Category II Driver duties, if applicable to duties
