Director of Nursing

Job Summary

As a Director of Nursing with Good Samaritan Society, you lead care for residents, manage multiple resident and employee needs, and oversee clinical priorities.

Location: Souris Valley Care Center, 300 Main St S, Velva, ND  USA

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: Day

Salary: $30,000 Sign On Bonus!

• Promote a positive living experience aligned with residents' life goals.
• Audit and monitor resident care daily, including medication administration, health records, and care plans.
• Collaborate with the medical team and staff to provide quality clinical care.
• Support direct patient care as needed, including personal care assistance.
• Work with Health Information Manager to maintain electronic medical records and monitor clinical priorities.
• Oversee safe resident handling program and nursing budget.
• Manage staff levels, resident care, and admissions.
• Coordinate with all departments to maintain relationships and meet team objectives.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered nurse licensure for state of practice.
• Prior nursing home experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend.
• Knowledge of basic nursing skills and therapeutic effects/side effects of all medications administered.
