Job InformationFacility: GSS ND Larimore Ctr
Shift: 12 Hours – Day Shift (7:00 am – 7:30 pm)
Job Schedule:
Full time (every other weekend and holiday rotation)
Pay: $26+ per hour (depending on experience). Sign‑on bonus of $25,000 ($12,500 paid out after 60 days). Additional shift differentials for weekends.

- Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age‑ and population‑specific standards related to residents' physical and psychosocial needs as per care plan.
- Perform testing and evaluate data reflecting residents' status and provide the care needed.
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and diet.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health care providers, and the public.
- Work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
- Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, on prevention and treatment plans.
- Apply resident education principles to develop a self‑care program.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Must have attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
- For positions requiring IV therapy/management skills, must have graduated from a board‑approved AASPn program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completed an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Currently hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the state nursing board and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges.
- Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
