About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a respected healthcare organization that is hiring a Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery to join its OB nursing team.

This is a strong opportunity for an RN who enjoys hands‑on patient care, supporting mothers and newborns, and working in a collaborative hospital environment. The right person will support patients through labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and mother‑baby care
, while also gaining experience with breastfeeding education, fetal monitoring, outpatient OB services, and emergency support when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and mother‑baby care.
  • Monitor patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum phases and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
  • Read and interpret fetal monitor strips and elevate concerns when needed.
  • Support patients with breastfeeding education, newborn care, and postpartum wellness
    .
  • Provide outpatient OB services such as NSTs, iron infusions, labor assessments, circumcisions, and bilirubin checks
    .
  • Communicate patient status clearly with physicians, nursing leadership, and the care team.
  • Assist physicians with OB procedures and support the nurse manager as needed.
  • Care for mother/baby couplets and post‑surgical hysterectomy patients.
  • Document patient care, education, events, and updates accurately.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized OB unit environment.
  • Support department inventory, supplies, equipment checks, and basic clerical needs as needed.
  • Participate in OB staff meetings, in‑services, performance improvement projects, and data collection.
  • Float to other departments when needed to support patient care.
What They’re Looking For
  • Active Registered Nurse license in North Dakota or ability to obtain.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required from an accredited nursing program.
  • New graduate RNs are welcome to apply.
  • 1+ year of specialty nursing or acute care experience preferred, but not required.
  • Labor & Delivery, OB, postpartum, mother‑baby, or women’s health clinical experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts and every 3rd weekend
    .
  • Strong patient communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable learning in a hands‑on hospital environment.
  • Ability to stay calm, professional, and responsive during urgent patient care situations.
Required Certifications
  • BLS certification required or must be completed within 30 days of hire
    .
  • ACLS certification required or must be completed within 60 days of hire
    .
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required or must be completed at the next available training date.
  • AWHONN and STABLE preferred when available.
