LTC/SNF Registered Nurse
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care environment. The facility has 26 beds. Nurse-to-resident ratios are 1:10 during the day and 1:19 mon diagnoses include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. The nurse will act as charge and will be responsible for administering medications and performing wound care. There are no IVs or titratable drips on this unit.
There are no telemetry monitors; RNs are not required to read strips. Nurses are not required to participate in team conferences. Physicians are available by phone after hours. There is no rehab team, only Long Term Care services provided. Physical Therapy services are available as needed. Social Worker support is also available. Respiratory Therapy services are not on-site. Oxygen therapy equipment such as concentrators and portable concentrators is provided.
The pharmacy is off-site and utilizes a medication dispensing system. Shifts are 12 hours, with no blocked schedules or self-scheduling. Weekend and holiday requirements include every other weekend and every other major holiday. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating to other units or departments is not required. The dress code is clean and presentable attire. Unit-specific orientation will be provided.
Additional time off requests are limited and must be submitted upfront. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is Matrix Care.
