Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Clinic
The Clinic LPN provides nursing support within a general clinic setting, assisting physicians with exams, procedures, and routine patient care across primary care or specialty clinics.
The role emphasizes efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and coordination with the care team to support timely, safe treatment.
Responsibilities- Screen patients, obtain medical history, and assist with examinations.
- Administer medications and vaccines per physician orders within scope.
- Assist with minor procedures and basic wound care as needed.
- Monitor patient status during visits and report changes to the clinician.
- Document in the EHR and coordinate referrals or follow-ups as required.
- Educate patients on medications, safety, and after-visit care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to optimize clinic operations.
- Maintain supply inventory and ensure infection control practices.
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Current LPN license in good standing in the applicable state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Vaccination or phlebotomy certification not required but may be helpful.
Experience in a clinic or outpatient primary care setting; proficient in EHR documentation and patient education.
Experience- Direct patient care in a clinic or ambulatory setting.
- Vital signs collection and basic clinical measurements.
- Medication administration and patient teaching.
Work in a primary care or specialty clinic with a diverse patient population; team-based care approach and moderate patient volume.
Documentation in the EHR and coordination with providers, nurses, and administrative staff.
