American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Long Term Care/SNF unit requiring an active ND or compact license, BLS certification, and 2 years of LTC experience.

• Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting with 26 beds
• Resident population includes heart disease, diabetes, and dementia diagnoses
• Nurse-to-resident ratio of 1:10 on days and 1:19 on nights
• Acts as charge nurse, administers medications, and performs wound care
• No IV therapy or titratable drips administered on this unit
• No telemetry monitoring equipment or monitor techs on this unit
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7am-7pm with no self-scheduling or block scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• Every other major holiday coverage required
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating required
• Uses Matrix Care/Matrix EMR system

• Active ND state or compact (NLC) RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior LTC experience required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

• Charge nurse role includes passing medications and performing wound care with no additional clinical involvement
• Physician availability after hours is by phone only
• No respiratory therapist onsite; oxygen therapy provided via concentrators and portable concentrators
• PT services available as needed; social worker designee available; no dedicated rehab beds or interdisciplinary rehab team
• Pharmacy services and medication dispensing system are located off-site
• No specific scrub color required, but must maintain a clean and presentable appearance
• 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any Common Spirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity
• Upfront RTO limited to 7 days or fewer per 13-week contract, with no additional RTO approved after submission
