Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Duties and Tasks Duties
The Park Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and overall appearance of park facilities and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising and coordinating daily maintenance activities, including groundskeeping, repairs, and custodial work
- Leading and supporting maintenance staff in a team-oriented environment
- Planning and overseeing facility improvement projects and seasonal maintenance operations
- Ensuring park infrastructure-including campgrounds, cabins, marina areas, and storage facilities-remains safe and functional
- Maintaining compliance with safety standards, policies, and operational procedures
- Operating and maintaining park equipment, tools, and vehicles
- Assisting with event preparation and support for community programs and special park activities
- Collaborating with park leadership to prioritize projects and respond to visitor needs
Successful candidates will bring a combination of leadership ability, technical skills, and a passion for outdoor recreation. Ideal qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Two years' proven hands‑on knowledge of park, facility, or grounds maintenance operations, including equipment operation, basic mechanical or small engine repair, and ensuring safe, reliable day‑to‑day site function
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and accountability in a team-based environment, including setting expectations, supporting performance, and maintaining workplace safety and professionalism
- Demonstrated ability to support planning and project coordination, including prioritizing daily responsibilities, delegating tasks, managing schedules, and completing projects efficiently
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to providing excellent service to park visitors and the community
