Quality Assurance Specialist
Responsibilities:
Test samples to ensure product quality, safety, and specification compliance
Audit production and packaging for accuracy in shapes, specifications, storage, packaging, labeling, and coding
Identify and manage non-conforming products and food safety hazards, ensuring issues are investigated and recommending solutions
Maintain records, documentation, and retention samples
Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in food-related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.)
Experience in quality assurance testing
Physical Requirements:
Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Crouch, kneel, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, lift/carry (up to 50 pounds), sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environment
Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually
Work 12-hour shifts
