Job Description

The Sales Associate – Seasonal Lawn & Garden assists customers in our seasonal greenhouses and provides excellent customer service including greeting customers, cashier duties, answering product questions, caring for live goods, general housekeeping, and other duties assigned by the manager. The position is seasonal, typically running from early spring through mid‑June, depending on weather and growth conditions. Upon conclusion, continued employment opportunities depend on hour availability and store needs.

• Temporary full‑time or part‑time hours may be available.
• Pay range: $9.00–$12.00, depending on experience.

• The Sales Associate reports directly to the Store Manager.
• The Sales Associate has no direct supervisory authority.

• Greet customers as they shop in the retail store/greenhouse and assist with customer service questions.
• Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
• Assist with cycle counts.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Perform accurate cash handling.
• Process customer returns.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Retail store environment.
