Assistant Store Manager

The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership’s fuel distribution operations, which distribute over 15 billion gallons annually to approximately 11,000 Sunoco and partner‑branded retail locations, as well as independent dealers and commercial customers.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in all day-to-day operations related to those tasks essential to store operation.

Starting Wage: $24 per hour

This position is for afternoon shift, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Shifts may change with store needs. Flexibility is preferred.

• Performs management duties as assigned or in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Directs and prioritizes the work of the store personnel at the Store Manager’s discretion.
• Enforces daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, stocked and organized.
• Maintains quality brand image standards and passes evaluations. Maintains inventory in coolers, drink boxes, store shelves and display units and keeps “fronted” at all times. Properly cleans and maintains equipment and ready high-margin products such as coffee, fountain drinks, etc. Checks refrigeration equipment for proper performance at least once per shift.
• Assists with completion of daily paperwork and computer entry.
• Has the capability to perform all duties of a Sales Associate and Supervisor.
• Attends monthly safety and security meetings.
• Exhibits self‑direction and motivation.
• Demonstrates safe work and risk management practices.
• Meets all performance expectations and completes all duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year previous managerial experience in a convenience store, restaurant or retail environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and be available to respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work unaccompanied, stand, and without defined break periods.
• Ability to work in varying outdoor climates and in-store cooler environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills.
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience is an asset.
